In MC429: Media Management, I participated in an Engagement Event for the Southeast Arrow. I don’t have the graphics for this as my job was at the actual event, but I do have some pictures from the event and did help in the idea creation and planning process.
We called our event Donot Stress, and it centered around trying to relax before finals with donuts and puppies from a local shelter.
I had personally helped volunteer at the shelter, so I did help in directing the person who was going to coordinate the puppies to the right person. In addition, I also helped helped the table and supply coordinator to the right place as well as I previously worked adjacent to that department on campus.
To help advertise for the event, we made sidewalk chalk drawings to bring more people in and raise awareness.
My job at this event was games, along with two other people. Together, we came up with multiple ideas for both games and prizes, but for the sake of space and simplicity of play, narrowed it down to hillbilly golf. If someone decided to play our game and won by getting two golf ball on a string to stay on a rung of a ladder-like structure, then they would get a small prize.
I did also assist with keeping our table from blowing away and trying to talk to passersby about the Arrow and our event. I also assisted with photos if needed.
